General Rad needed for busy, stable, small private practice, 1 year to partnership!

0
0

Incredible opportunity for a seasoned, practicing radiologist able to perform all modalities and live in a small town. Three-member group losing a partner soon and need to replace by first of the year or very soon thereafter. The starting pay is higher than you’ll find most anywhere and they make a great partnership income ($600K plus full benefits). Partnership is offered here after one year and board certification is required to become a partner. No buy-in. As one can imagine, to make that income it’s a very busy practice and the ability to read 100-150 studies per day is a pace that a viable candidate needs to be comfortable with. So, a seasoned radiologist with three or more years experience is likely going to be the best fit for their needs. There also exists the possibility for a signing bonus.

The hospital is very stable and doing well. For a small town in a 200+-bed hospital they see some pretty unique pathology, said to be university-level. As stated, the need is for someone that can read all modalities (MR, CT, US, plain films, fluoro, mammo/women's imaging, nucs) and be able to perform light interventional to the level of biopsies, simple drainages and PICC lines. One of the radiologists is doing IR beyond that level, but those invasive abilities are all that they need for this opening.

Another big plus is that it is equal vacation from the outset, which is 17 weeks. They run the department with one radiologist off every week, so this is not a position (unlikely anyway) for someone coming straight out of training. They don’t have to take any call during the week as nighthawk covers them from 5:00 till 7-8 am doing all final reads, meaning no piles of studies to come into in the morning. Maybe two times per year you can expect to be called in after-hours for something simple like a lumbar puncture, but that's it. When you're off, you're really off and free to enjoy life. They work 1:3 weekends, but I don’t yet know how many hours they go into the hospital on Saturday-Sunday.

This is a great community with a small liberal arts college and lots of outdoor amenities: parks, walking trails and 3-4 nearby lakes for water sports fun. They have churches of most any denomination and it is an outstanding place to raise a family away from the dangers of urban life.

Call or email your CV for more information.
