Our academic practice of 30 radiologists and 16 residents is seeking a board certified radiologist who is fellowship trained in cardiac imaging to expand our busy cardiac imaging service at a tertiary NYC hospital. We perform almost 300,000 inpatient and outpatient studies annually.The cardiac service features both inpatient and outpatient cardiac MRI and Coronary CTA. A "Coronary CTA for acute chest pain patients in the ER" program is also going to launch by 2014 and will further expand our volume. Level III certification is required for CTA and either CBCCT or ACR CoAP examination clearance is preferred. Our group covers two hospitals and an outpatient office/Breast center using state-of-the-art equipment including: three 64 slice CT scanners and a 1.5 T MRI. An additional 320 slice CT scanner and 3.0 T MRI are currently undergoing installation.The position is not exclusively cardiac. Advanced training in Nuclear Medicine, including nuclear cardiology and PET/CT is highly desired and candidates are expected to be competent in general diagnostic radiology and body imaging (including CT and MRI) as well.

Radiologist, must be board-certified with NC license. Contract position (non-parternship track) in busy rural southeastern North Carolina hospital. 1st year $335,000. 2nd year and beyond $350,000 per year.

Schedule: 2 weeks on, 2 weeks off, including one weekend (Friday through Sunday). The 2 weeks “on” can be done in either a 12-day or 14-day block, depending on when the weekend is taken. There are also two weeknights of call during the 2 weeks.

Total days worked per year is 156, with 65 total nights on call (13 x 12 days = 156. 13 x 5 nights = 65.)

The Practice pays for teleradiology coverage after 11PM, so when you are on call, you seldom get called after 11 PM.

Skills: must be able to handle 100 to 150 cases per shift of plain radiographs, CT, MR, US, NM, Fluoro and IR-light (CT-guided biopsy/drainage, PICC placement, nephrostomy, myelograms, etc.).
